Alwyn Furtado, a retired senior Audit Officer, served for over 34 years at the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. Over the last 25 years, he has specialized in auditing key taxation departments including Income Tax, State Excise, Central excise, Service Tax, and GST. In the realm of Central Excise, he has assessed companies like Reliance, TELCO, Bajaj Auto, Mercedes Benz, Fiat, Forbes Marshall. He has audited prominent service entities like DSP Merrill Lynch, KPMG, PwC. He has certified accounts of SEBI, IIT, NITIE, fraud audits for Energy Management Corporation and Seamen’s provident fund. He has also deducted and reported frauds within Prasar Bharati, RTO and other government departments.
